We are pleased to announce that Fulvio Raddi, a second-year PhD student at FSEGA, has won the prestigious “Digital Datathon 2026: From Data to Insight – Exploring Economic, Structural, and Social Indicators through DataSphere,” held in Naples. The contest was organized by the University of Naples Federico II and the University of Priština.

Fulvio, together with his teammates Owen Chaffard (PhD student at Cardo AI) and Rahul Tak (PhD student at Bucharest ASE), all Marie Skłodowska-Curie PhD students of the Digital Finance project, secured first place with their paper titled “Remittances and Economic Transmission in Kosovo: Evidence from Import Demand, Deposits, and Corporate Lending.” Their analysis provides valuable insights into how remittances from the large Kosovar diaspora, established after 1998, influence the economic dynamics of Kosovo.

This outstanding achievement was accomplished under the supervision of Professor Codruța Mare. We congratulate Fulvio and his team on this significant success and their contribution to economic research.
