PhD student Monja Steinigke, from the Doctoral School of Communication, Public Relations and Advertising, FSPAC, is participating in the international conference “Utopias and Dystopias of the Digital Society: 30 Years of Research on Computer-Mediated Communication,” held from 16–18 September 2026 at the Weizenbaum Institute in Berlin, Germany.
The conference is the 2026 annual meeting of the Digital Communication Division of the German Communication Association (DGPuK) and is organized in cooperation with the Institute for Media and Communication Studies at Freie Universität Berlin.
At the conference, Monja Steinigke presents the paper “Between AI Dystopia and Regulatory Response: Imagined Futures in Addressing Disclosure Requirements for AI-Generated Advertising,” co-authored with her PhD supervisor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Meda Mucundorfeanu.
The paper explores imagined futures surrounding artificial intelligence, focusing on regulatory responses and disclosure requirements for AI-generated advertising.
