Conference of the National Council of Rectors at Babeș-Bolyai University

Babeș-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca (BBU) will host, between 25th and 27th of June, 2021, the Conference of the National Council of Rectors (CNR).

The opening of the event will take place on Friday, June 25, 2021, from 18.00, in the Aula Magna of BBU, the opening ceremony and messages of the Presidential Administration, the Minister of Education and the Minister of Research, Innovation and Digitalization, to be broadcast publicly on Facebook and Youtube to BBU. The opening ceremony will be followed by a Q&A session.

Discussions will continue on Saturday, June 26, 2021, in the Aula Magna of UBB, with working sessions on specific topics and institutional relations.

Regarding specific topics, they will be:

(1) Beginning of the academic year 2021-2022;
(2) Good practices regarding the admission and support of bachelor’s / master’s / doctoral theses in the academic year 2020-2021, with implications for the academic year 2021-2022;
(3) University missions / academic rankings / academic evaluation-accreditation systems;
(4) Miscellaneous.

Regarding institutional relations, the following discussion / analysis sessions will be organized:

(1) CNR-Ministry of Education (and associated councils: CEMU / CNATDCU / CNFIS / CNSPIS etc.) – Adaptation of legislation / PNRR / Analysis of CNATDCU criteria / Financing / Master’s degree / Miscellaneous;
(2) CNR-Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitalization (and associated councils) – Universities in the national RDI / PNRR system / National RDI / Open science / Miscellaneous programs and strategy;
(3) CNR-ARACIS-ANC – Evaluation / Accreditation / Miscellaneous;
(4) CNR-Romanian Court of Accounts – Analysis of the mission of the modern / Miscellaneous university;
(5) Miscellaneous.

The last day of the conference of the National Council of Rectors will be dedicated to the meetings of the university consortia and the visit of some academic units of UBB.
