Fulvio Raddi, PhD student in Cybernetics and Statistics at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FSEGA), presented his research at the Central European Conference in Regional Science, held between 27–29 November 2025 in Cluj-Napoca.
His work addresses the methodological issue of spatial weight matrix selection within the field of regional analysis. The study is positioned at the intersection of regional statistics and text mining, contributing to ongoing discussions on improving the specification of spatial relationships in econometric models.
The research proposes an interdisciplinary approach that connects quantitative spatial analysis with textual data processing, aiming to support more informed model specification in regional science. This contribution highlights the potential of combining methods from different domains to advance analytical frameworks used in the study of territorial dynamics.
