Fulvio Raddi, a second-year PhD student in Cybernetics and Statistics at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FSEGA), Babeș-Bolyai University, presented his work “The effect of annual reports: a European point of view” at the IFC Satellite Seminar on Sustainability data issues and central banks’ experience, held on 4 October 2025 as a satellite event of the ISI World Statistics Congress and co-organised with De Nederlandsche Bank.
Organised under the auspices of the Bank for International Settlements through its Irving Fisher Committee, the seminar represents a highly prestigious forum for central banks, bringing together experts, policymakers, and researchers to address key challenges related to sustainability data, statistical methodologies, and financial stability.
Within this high-level context, Raddi’s contribution focused on the analysis of corporate annual reports as a data source from a European perspective. His research lies at the intersection of statistical analysis and text-based data processing, contributing to the broader discussion on enhancing the informational basis available to central banks.
By engaging with the issue of data availability and quality in sustainability-related domains, the study aligns with current institutional priorities, where expanding the use of alternative data sources is essential for supporting evidence-based policy and economic assessment.
Overall, his presentation constitutes a meaningful academic contribution within a central banking environment of international relevance, where methodological advancements in data analysis directly inform policy development and statistical innovation.
