Anca Broască, PhD student at the Doctoral School of Communication, Public Relations and Advertising, Faculty of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences (FSPAC), Babeș-Bolyai University, participated in the 76th Annual Conference of the International Communication Association (ICA), held in Cape Town, South Africa, from 4–8 June 2026.
During the conference, she presented a research on Storytelling and Well-Being in Influencer Communication, which investigates how narrative strategies employed by social media influencers shape audiences’ perceptions of well-being, authenticity, and emotional connection. The study contributes to ongoing discussions on the role of digital storytelling in fostering meaningful engagement within contemporary social media environments.
Her participation at ICA 2026 reflects the Doctoral School’s commitment to advancing internationally relevant research in communication studies and highlights the growing contribution of early-career scholars to debates surrounding digital communication, influencer culture, and well-being.
