The Doctoral School of Communication Sciences, Public Relations and Advertising and the Department of Communication, Public Relations and Advertising within the Faculty of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences are organizing the “International Students’ Conference in Communication (ISCC)” on May 20–21, 2026, under the auspices of the Center for Research in Communication and Social Innovation (CoRe) and the project Synergistic Management and Advancement of Artificial Intelligence in European Higher Education (SMARTIE – project code 2024-1-RO01-KA220-HED-000244949).
The conference theme is “Communication in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Theoretical Perspectives and Practical Applications.”
The SMARTIE project is funded through the Erasmus+ programme and brings together partners from eight European countries: Romania, Slovakia, Austria, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Slovenia.
SMARTIE aims to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into higher education across Europe by promoting innovative, student-centered teaching practices. At the same time, the project advances a harmonized European approach to the use of AI in education by developing accessible educational materials and inclusive teaching methods based on generative AI.
