Emma Bobu, PhD student at the Doctoral School of Physics at Babeș-Bolyai University (UBB), under the supervision of Prof. Monica Baia, has received a mobility fellowship under the EUTOPIA_HEALTH Cross-University Mobility Programme for her project titled “Development of hybrid bioactive hydrogels based on bacterial cellulose and bioactive glass.” She spent three months, from September to November 2025, at NOVA University in Lisbon, where he worked under the supervision of Dr. Filomena Freitas together with an interdisciplinary research team, and gained in-depth knowledge about polysaccharide production both in the lab and on a large scale, using green synthesis methods.
