The Doctoral School of Communication, Public Relations and Advertising at the Faculty of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences (FSPAC), Babeș-Bolyai University, was represented at the ECREA European Communication Conference 2026 (ECC 2026), held in Brno, Czech Republic, between 8 and 11 September 2026.

The conference brought together scholars and researchers from across Europe and beyond, providing an important platform for presenting current research, exchanging ideas, and strengthening academic networks in the field of communication and media studies.

The Doctoral School was represented by PhD candidates Diana Cornea, Teodor Cosma, Eugen Potra, and Aliz Szoeke-Vajas, who participated in the conference alongside doctoral supervisors Prof. Dr. Delia Balaban, Prof. Dr. Hanna Orsolya Vincze, and Lect. Dr. Anișoara Pavelea.

Their participation at ECC 2026 reflects the Doctoral School’s active involvement in the international academic community and its commitment to integrating doctoral research into major European scholarly debates. The conference offered the PhD candidates an opportunity to present and discuss their research in an international setting, receive feedback from fellow researchers, and engage with recent theoretical and methodological developments in communication research.

Participation in major international conferences such as ECREA ECC also contributes to the international visibility of doctoral research conducted at Babeș-Bolyai University and creates opportunities for new academic exchanges and collaborations within the European communication research community.
