PhD students from the Doctoral School of Communication, PR, and Advertising from UBB participated in the 13th edition of the International Conference on Professional Communication and Translation Studies (PCTS13) which was hosted in a hybrid form (online and onsite) in Timisoara. The conference aimed to exchange ideas on communication and public relations, linguistic insights into professional communication, translation theory and translation didactics and foreign language teaching. The conference, held on March 30-31, aimed to develop the exchange of ideas on topics such as communication and public relations, linguistic insights into professional communication, translation theory, and foreign language teaching.

Sonia Maloș and Denisa Lăcătuș, the on-site participants from BBU, presented a paper on the need for media literacy among Generation Z, addressing various categories under media literacy. Meanwhile, Marius Mauer and Jens Heinrich, the online participants from BBU, discussed linguistic peculiarities in the German-language daily newspaper ADZ and events as instruments of corporate communication in the digital environment, respectively.
