Silvestru Iulian Calinciuc is a Deaf PhD Candidate at the Doctoral School of Communication, PR, and Advertising at F.S.P.A.C within the Babes-Bolyai University Cluj-Napoca, who participated in the PhD Deaf Workshop and Deaf Winter Writing Retreat, which took place in Ål Folkehøgskole og Kurssenter for Døve, Norway between 7-12 December 2025. In the process workshop, he gave a talk named the Deaf/HoH (Hard of Hearing) scholarship, participated in the Deaf international conference programs, and published articles and books of interest to the Deaf Community, in which he presented a study that clarifies modern Deaf Technologies (A.I. Generated, Communication Assistive) in the study of Sign Language and Deaf Studies. The meeting of Deaf University Professors from the USA and Europe, together with researchers in the whole of life academic journey towards “Evaluating published research and Citation Justice”, “Feedback Peer-Review”, and “Publishing”, to release the findings of the American and European university professors’ presentations.
His involvement greatly improved the exposure of the Deaf/HoH scholarly community and further discussion of the Dr Deaf Writing Retreats’ academic publishing.
Silvestru Iulian Calinciuc participated in the workshops held in Norway, with previous attendance in 2024 and again in 2025.
