Between June 26-28th 2025, the team from the Doctoral School of Communication, PR & Advertising from the Faculty of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences proudly participated in the ICORIA Conference 2025 in Rotterdam — the leading academic gatherings in the field of advertising research in Europe organised by the European Academy of Advertising.
This year’s theme, “Advertising with a Purpose: Creating Impact through Research Excellence”, sparked thought-provoking discussions and inspiring presentations. Our team consisting of the PhD candidates Anca Broasca, Petra Kovacs and Paul Lung alongside Assoc. Prof. Meda Mucundofeanu Ph.D. and Prof. Delia Cristina Balaban Ph.D. contributed with four presentations, exploring topics ranging from the role of generative AI for branding and communication practitioners to virtual influencers and storytelling in influencer advertising.
Participating in ICORIA was not only a chance to present our latest research, but also to connect with fellow scholars, exchange ideas, and reflect on the evolving challenges and innovations in our field.
A big thank you to the organizers EAA and the Erasmus University of Rotterdam for a seamless and intellectually stimulating event!
