We are proud to announce that Daria Ioana STOIA, a second-year PhD Student at the Biomolecular Physics Department, Faculty of Physics, has had their research published in The Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters, ACS Nature Index. Even more impressively, the scientific artwork was selected as the cover for the June 2025 volume 16, issue 22.
The paper, titled “Unveiling DNA Hybridization Dynamics via High-Sensitive SERS Detection: Insights into Conformational Changes and Oligonucleotide Length Effects”, presents new insights into the behavior of DNA strands during hybridization, with potential applications in biosensing and molecular diagnostics.
Congratulations to Daria Ioana Stoia and her mentor, Conf Dr. Monica Focsan, on this outstanding accomplishment
Daria also participated with a poster presentation at the prestigious international conference The 35th Anniversary World Congress on Biosensors, held from 19 – 22 May 2025, in Lisbon, Portugal.
