Silvestru-Iulian Calinciuc, Ph.D. Candidate at FSPAC within the Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Doctoral School Communication, PR and Advertising participated in the 17th Nordic Network on Disability Research (NNDR) Conference, held at the University of Helsinki, Finland, from May 7th to 9th, 2025. Under the overarching theme “Disability in local and global contexts”. Calinciuc presented her paper entitled “Deaf Studies on Sign Languages’ Linguistic Rights in the Context of the European Union”. Calinciuc explores the intersection of communication studies and highlights the vital importance of linguistic rights for the Deaf community.
