Alfred Fellner successfully defended his PhD thesis on Solution-Oriented Photojournalism on the Climate Change Topic  in front of an international committee at the Faculty of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences (FSPAC), Babeș-Bolyai University (UBB). Fellner’s research explored how photojournalism can contribute to addressing climate change by focusing on solutions rather than merely highlighting problems. Employing a mixed-methodological approach, his work combined qualitative and quantitative methods to assess the impact and potential of this emerging journalistic practice. The international committee praised the innovative nature of the research, emphasizing its relevance in today’s global environmental discourse. The thesis is part of the European PhD program of our university.
