The Doctoral School of Communication, PR, and Advertising from the Faculty of Political, Administrative, and Communication Science (FSPAC) had a special guest, Prof. Desiree Schmuck Ph.D. from the Department of Communication of the University of Vienna. Desiree Schmuck is a full professor of media change and media innovation and has significant international experience.
Professor Schmuck is one of the leading authors working on the topic of the political role of social media influencers. Therefore, she delivered a well-attended presentation on December 5, 2023 at FSPAC entitled The Power and Perils of Political Social Media Influencers. Lifestyle, Participation, (Mis)information. Furthermore, professor Schmuck conducted a workshop for doctoral and postdoctoral students and colleagues on structural equation modeling (SEM) with lavaan in R. We are grateful for the well-structured presentation and valuable and practical insights. Participants enjoyed working with SEM in communication and media research projects.
