The Doctoral School of Philosophy from Babeș-Bolyai University invites submissions for the International Conference for Doctoral Students in Philosophy that is going to take place online, on May 21-22 2021. The conference is supported by two research centers of the Faculty of History and Philosophy: the Center for Ancient and Medieval Philosophy and the Center for Applied Philosophy.
Official languages of the conference are going to be English, Romanian and Hungarian.
We invite submissions of abstracts for papers within all areas of philosophy: phenomenology, semiology, hermeneutics, ethics, aesthetics, political philosophy, philosophy of culture and communication, logic, history of philosophy, studies of ancient and medieval philosophy, Romanian philosophy, Hungarian philosophy, and P4C (philosophy for children).
The conference will have the following sections:
- – thematic parallel panels organized according to the topics of the papers (in all the official languages of the conference);
- – a round table discussion organized on the topic “Philosophy in the university during pandemic times” (in English)
Participants should specify when submitting their abstract whether they wish to attend a thematic panel or the round table discussion. Abstracts should be up to 350 words, suitable for a 12-minute talk (followed by 5 minutes Q&A), and anonymised for blind review. The deadline for abstracts submissions is 24th April 2021.
